As autumn nears, all I can think about is the love of orange leaves flooding the street and pumpkins littering people’s porches. There’s something magical about fall, especially in America. Whether it be the tales of Massachusetts witches, a good old fashioned harvest, or ghosts haunting the living, there’s so much to love. Here’s 10 of the most picturesque towns in the US to add to your autumn bucketlist. Be sure to checkout their websites for the optimal times to visit duing the season!
1. Lenox, Massachusetts
Lenox is a qaint town surrounded by the glory of rolling hills and, you’ve guessed it, autumn foliage that’s hard to pass up. Against the background of white homes and statement buildings, this town of around 5,000 people really takes the season to new levels. Lenox is a place where strolling amongst the trees is a must if you can. Experience an elegant and fun harvest in the town as well.
2. Breckenridge, Colorado
Colorado is more than just a ski destination. For the lovers of the outdoors, this is a trip you can't miss. Breckenridge during the fall glows in a bright yellow as the aspens turn for the season. The perfect destination for hikers and photographers alike. And for those who are looking for a little seasonal outdoor getaway, this will suit you seamlessly.
3. Stowe, Vermont

Uusally, when we think fall colors, the southwest doesn't typically come to our mind. However, Taos is another story. Filled with cottonwoods, elms, and aspens, this destination is one for the west coasters. Although you may not need a flannel as temperatures are aroudn the 70s, you can still have seasonal fun in the outdoors. And for those a little more laid back, enjoy dining at the local resturants or enjoys a drive around the "Enchanted Circle". Either way, it's a different experience than one would expect out of the Southwest, but so worth it at the same time.

Oregon is known for their thick forests and rain. And Autumn is no stranger to that either. The best parts about fall? The colorful trees and the ability to stick inside and read a book or watch a movie while the rain drowns out your window. Last but definitely not least, Woodstock, Vermont. A Hallmark perfect town that isn't shy from the season's greetings. Woodstock is a small town that'll ignite your love for Beetlejuice all over again. Between a gorgeous covered bridge and lots of oranges, yellows, and reds flooding the area, you'll neverbe able to stop saying, "wow". Woodstock reminds me of "Middleton" from Hallmark's, The Good Witch. Main Street is a walkable, inspiring experience with a beautiful inn to stay at. This is one town that you shouldn't stray away from.
