The places you didn't know existed

Some places on earth are so weird, they seem like they came from another planet.

If you think that the world is just a big place full of places you've heard of and places you haven't, then get ready to have your mind blown. This list has some seriously weird places on it that will make you question everything you thought was real. If we were to go on an expedition together, these are the spots I'd want to see first.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is an area in the Atlantic Ocean where ships and planes have inexplicably disappeared. According to legend, this region has been plagued by bad weather, strange magnetic fields and other mysteries that defy scientific explanation.

But is it all just myth?

According to some scientists, there's no evidence that any of these disappearances are anything more than typical losses of ships at sea (which happen every year). And while there really isn't any such thing as a Bermuda Triangle - the term was invented by writer Vincent Gaddis in 1964 - it's true that vessels have been lost here since ancient times. However, these accidents are just part of the danger inherent in seafaring: ships aren't meant to sail through calm waters all day long! Surely you've heard about how Columbus once ran out of food on his voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, but what about Magellan? He got mauled by natives who thought he was a god when he tried to explore South America with no weapons because he thought people would be friendly (they weren't).

Izu Islands

The Izu Islands are an archipelago of volcanic islands in the Philippine Sea, located between the Izu Peninsula and the Boso Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. The islands are known for their hot springs and volcanic activity, as well as being a source of many earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions.

These islands have a dark past: during World War II they were used as a torture prison by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Today these islands offer an escape from Japan's busy city life; visitors can hike through lush green forests and swim in warm waters that make up some of Japan's most beautiful beaches

Ice Rings

Ice rings are a series of circular ice formations in the Arctic. They're formed by ice floes that break away from the shore and form a circle, which then freezes over as it gets colder at night. The Coriolis force causes these ice rings to be perfectly circular instead of oval or elliptical like most other types of icicles. These objects cannot be man-made because they only occur in areas where there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of snow accumulation each year, which means that they aren't found anywhere on land except for Antarctica, Greenland and Svalbard islands near Norway's North Pole region; however, some people believe otherwise - there are many conspiracy theories about this phenomenon! Some people believe these rings were made by aliens visiting Earth (and leaving footprints behind). Others believe that they're runways for UFOs flying around our planet all day long…

Bushrangers Cave

Bushrangers Cave is located in the Blue Mountains, which is just west of Sydney. The cave has a few different entrances, but one entrance is covered with a metal gate and locked. This lock was added to prevent people from stealing rocks inside the cave.

The bushrangers were Australian outlaws during the 1800s who hid out in caves like this one to avoid capture by police officers or bounty hunters. Today, it's common for hikers to explore Bushrangers Cave for fun - and some even camp out there! Rock climbers also love Bushrangers Cave because there are lots of large boulders that make perfect ledges for climbing practice or competitions. In addition to these two activities, rock collectors often visit this spot as well because there are so many beautiful stones and minerals left behind from when it used to be filled with water (like stalactites).

Area 51

If you're interested in history, but don't want to travel back to ancient Rome or Greece, there are plenty of places that have fascinating origins. Area 51 is one of these locations. It's located just outside of Las Vegas and was built during World War II as a base for B-52 bombers. After this purpose ended, it became the testing site for new aircrafts and other military equipment.

It's also rumored that aliens have been spotted here (as we all know they exist!), which adds to its mystique among conspiracy theorists and UFO enthusiasts alike! If you're into tales like this, then this might be somewhere worth adding yet another destination on your bucket list before the year ends!

Zone of Alienation

The Zone of Alienation is a vast area of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. It is a no-go area for people and animals, because it is the most dangerous place on earth. Radiation levels inside the Zone are hundreds of times higher than those outside and there are lethal doses just inches from the surface. The land within this region was left uninhabitable after an explosion at a nuclear power plant in 1986 caused an apocalyptic disaster that contaminated millions of acres with radiation for miles around it.

The Zone has become a radioactive wasteland where nature itself has been struggling to recover from decades of neglect and contamination - but scientists have recently discovered something unexpected: pockets where life seems to be thriving despite all odds. Scientists have not yet been able to determine how this could be possible (and they probably never will), but they believe that there might be some kind of microbial community living here which protects against radiation damage by neutralizing its harmful effects before they can cause harm to other organisms nearby."

The Nazca Lines

You've likely heard of the Nazca Lines, but you may not know that they're not technically in Peru. The lines are huge drawings of animals, plants and geometric shapes that were made on a plateau in the desert by the Nazca people between 400 BC and 600 AD. They can be found in southern Peru, which is about 200 miles from Lima - but as far as I'm concerned, you can't travel to Lima without going to see these incredible works of art first!

You'll find one of the most impressive sets of lines at Cerro Blanco (White Hill), which is named after its stark white color. It's also home to some pretty cool rock formations: "The Hummingbird," "The Condor" and "The Astronaut."

The Richat Structure

The Richat Structure is a large circular feature that can be seen from space. It was first observed by a French pilot in the 1960s, and it is considered to be one of the most unusual geological formations on Earth. Geologists have never been able to agree on exactly what formed it, but they think that at least part of it was caused by an asteroid impact around 300 million years ago.

The structure covers about 40 square miles (100 km²), making it roughly 10 times larger than Manhattan Island in New York City! And its center lies about 290 feet (88 m) below sea level - so if you were standing there right now, you would probably feel as if there were nothing under your feet!

Some places on earth are so weird, they seem like they came from another planet. If you've ever wanted to see what the world's most bizarre destinations look like in real life, you've come to the right place!

  • Pulau Tiga (Malaysia)

Pulau Tiga is an island off the coast of Malaysia that features a mysterious and unspeakable history. It's been abandoned for nearly 90 years, but it's still haunted by its past: dozens of skeletons have been found there - and no one knows how or why they ended up on this remote island.

  • The Bermuda Triangle (United States)

The Bermuda Triangle is exactly what it sounds like: a triangular area where ships and planes tend to disappear without explanation over time, which has led many people to believe there may be something supernatural at work here… if not aliens themselves! This mysterious region encompasses roughly 500 square miles between Florida, Puerto Rico and Bermuda Island itself; if you're thinking about taking a trip there yourself someday soon then let us know because we'd love to tag along!

Conclusion

There are many hidden places in the world. Some of these places are so hidden that they can only be found by looking at the map or using a GPS device. There are many different types of secret places around the world, but one thing is for certain; they all have something unique about them that makes them special and exciting for explorers.
