Save Money

A trip to Utah is far less expensive than a trip overseas or to a major tourist destination, but when you rack up activities, things become more expensive, even in a place like Utah. It's important to find all the money-saving techniques as possible when you travel. One of the easiest ways to cut costs is to travel off-peak season when most people are in the confinement of their home. If saving money is an important part of your getaway, travel during the winter months to save an abundance of cash.

Freely Explore The Mighty Five

The ‘Mighty Five’ national parks located in Utah are Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Canyon lands, Zion, and Arches. More than 10 million visitors come to explore the nature of the state offers. If you’re among those people, skip the long lines and crowds of people and head to Utah during the winter months. From March-July, Zion National Park received half the number of visitors (or 65,000 fewer) than it receives during July-February each year.

Christmas in Utah

Christmas in Utah is always exciting. Wake up to snow before Santa comes, go out and ski and build snowmen, drink hot chocolate with the tiny marshmallows. And, of course, be sure to explore the scenery and sights that you won't find any other time of the year. Many special events also fill the holiday season for residents and visitors of the state during the month of December. See the Christmas lights on Temple Square in Salt Lake City and catch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s free Christmas conference as well.

Skiing

Utah is famous for its amazing ski slopes. It’s one of the activities that bring tourists to the state. If you’re among those people, take a look at the ski vacation packages and plan for an affordable, fun, scenic time in the state. Powder Mountain, Park City, Brighton, and Alta are among the states most popular ski destinations. Skiing is an activity that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re well versed on the slopes or a first-timer.

Winter Farmers Market

Most Farmer’s Markets are open during the summer, but in Utah, it’s the winter weather that brings the farmers out to share and sell their goods. You can find fresh vegetables, plants, flowers, handicrafts, and many other items available at the Farmer's Market. The Rio Grande Winter Market opens in November and closes in April. It’s one of several winter Farmers Markets in the state that you’ll enjoy visiting.
