When I left the plane in Istanbul, the sharp morning air brought out the smell of new sympathetic, Turkish sesame-knot bread, Turkish coffee was mixed with a distant aroma of drinking coffee. This was the first time in Turkey, a country that I dreamed of searching for a long time - a place where the story whispers from every corner where the landscapes change from the markets to the cool coast, and where each food is a taste party. My enthusiasm had just started.

Istanbul: A City of Contrasts

The call to pray was repeated through the streets because I walked from Istanbul's heart, the city where the city meets east -west. The huge towers of Hagia Sophia were in contrast to the movement of the Takasim space. I let my fingers run on the old walls of the Topkapi palace, imagined the sultans that once ruled from here. In Grand Bazaar, traders called out - Handwowan Carpet, Delicate Ceramic, Shimmer Lantern. I was upset for the attraction of a little evil eye, a maintenance of this lively city.As evening fell, I found myself on a ferry crossing the Bosphorus, the waterway that divides Europe and Asia. The city shimmered under the soft glow of streetlights, the skyline punctuated by domes and minarets. Istanbul had already stolen my heart, but there was more to see.

Cappadocia: A Dream in the Sky

Before dawn, I found myself climbing into the basket of a hot air balloon. As the sun began its ascent, the landscape below transformed—Cappadocia’s fairytale chimneys, ancient cave dwellings, and rolling valleys stretched in every direction. Floating above this surreal world, I felt weightless, lost in the beauty of it all.

Later that day, I explored the underground city of Derinkuyu, marveling at the ingenuity of the people who had once sought refuge here. The rock-hewn churches of Göreme were adorned with frescoes that had stood the test of time, telling stories of faith and resilience. At sunset, I sat on a ridge, watching the sky burn with hues of gold and pink, feeling as though I had stepped into a painting.

Ephesus: Walking Through Time

The ruins of Ephesus stretched before me, a reminder of the grandeur of the ancient world. I traced my fingers along the marble columns of the Library of Celsus, imagining scholars who once studied here. The Great Theatre, where gladiators had once fought, still echoed with the voices of visitors marveling at its scale. As I wandered the well-preserved streets, I felt the presence of the past, each stone holding a story of its own.

Pamukkale: The Cotton Castle

The white terraces of Pamukkale shimmered under the midday sun, their surreal beauty unlike anything I had ever seen. Stepping barefoot into the warm mineral pools, I let the healing waters wash over me, a natural spa created by time itself. Above me, the ancient ruins of Hierapolis whispered secrets of the past. I sat on a ledge, gazing out at the endless horizon, feeling a deep sense of peace.

Antalya: The Turquoise Coast Beckons

The scent of salt filled the air as I arrived in Antalya, the jewel of Turkey’s southern coast. I strolled through the old town, where bougainvillea spilled over stone walls and the calls of seagulls filled the sky. At the Roman harbor, fishing boats bobbed in the cerulean waters. I boarded a small yacht, sailing along the Turquoise Coast, where secluded coves and hidden beaches awaited.

On the deck, I savored the freshest seafood while the sea breeze tousled my hair. It was the perfect escape, the kind of moment where time seemed to stand still.

A Feast for the Senses: Turkish Cuisine

From the sizzling grills of street vendors to elegant rooftop restaurants, Turkish cuisine had been a highlight of my journey. Each meal was a revelation—lahmacun, the thin, crispy flatbread topped with spiced meat; börek, flaky pastries filled with cheese and herbs; and manti, tiny dumplings swimming in a rich yogurt sauce.

Sipping a glass of strong Turkish tea, I listened to the chatter of locals, the clinking of tiny cups a rhythm of daily life. And for dessert? A bite of künefe, the crispy, cheese-filled pastry soaked in syrup, a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

The Journey Comes to an End

As my time in Turkey drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the countless moments of wonder I had experienced—the stories etched into ancient stones, the warmth of the people, the landscapes that defied imagination.
