  • Don’t text in the middle of the sidewalk. Find a safe area like a cafe or hotel to take care of your personal communications. New York is crowded and it’s best not to get into the way of other pedestrians.
  • Don’t fall form tourist traps like Time Square, and for the sake of your own sanity, don’t go to the TGI Fridays, McDonalds, or other restaurants that are most likely featured in your small town. Instead check out authentic, family owned businesses where you could try REAL New York Cuisine. As for the major food chains on the Time Square strip, those are designed to attract foreign tourist who’ve never visited America and is their first time coming to The States.
  • Don’t fall for the scams of business people bumping into you and then falsely accusing you of owning them money. This scam is common in Grand Central Station, Time Square and Subway Stations.
