The Splendor of Chinese Architecture
Chinese architecture is one of the most beautiful and complex styles in the world. The splendor of Chinese architecture can be seen in its many temples, pagodas, bridges and more. The Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall and the Forbidden City are among some of the most famous structures built in China. The Forbidden City in Beijing was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming dynasty from 1420 to 1912. It is surrounded by an 8-kilometer-long wall that has a total length of 3286 meters and a height varying between 6 meters at the outermost edge to 11 meters in other areas. Now it houses three museums that display important cultural treasures such as porcelain ware, gold objects and jade objects dating back centuries ago. In addition, Beijing National Stadium (the Bird's Nest) which was completed in 2008 with a seating capacity of 91000 people is also worth visiting.

Furthermore, there is a special holiday when families get together called Spring Festival or Chinese New Year which lasts 15 days in February or March. It starts on the first day of year in one lunar month, typically corresponding to late January or early February of our Western calendar.
