The Quest Marches On
The third Quarterfinal match in the Women's United States Championship Tournament features a new addition to the round robin

Before a Survivor Series: WarGames event that saw ten women show out inside the titular match, quite a few developments were made to the Women's Division. On Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce officially announced the addition of the Women's Intercontinental Championship, making the announcement on an exclusive segment on the program. Similar to the Women's United States Championship, the inaugural Women's IC Champion will be determined via a tournament that will kick off on the next edition of Raw. I'll be honest, I'm happy that this was announced earlier than I expected. I predicted that the Women's IC Title announcement would be made on the first Raw on Netflix.
As for the Women's US Championship, the third Quarterfinal match took place on SmackDown--one night prior to Survivor Series. Now, we had a bit of a wild development on the previous week. During the second Quarterfinal between Bianca Belair, Chelsea Green, and Blair Davenport, Jade Cargill was suddenly found on the hood of her car, violently attacked. Bianca rushed to her partner's aid, leaving her two opponents alone, after which Chelsea won her match and advanced.
Jade was supposed to compete in the third Quarterfinal match against Piper Niven and Michin, but she would be replaced. So who took Jade's spot in the match?

Enter Lash Legend. Lash has been in WWE for three years, and all of them with the NXT brand. She started with a Wendy Williams-esque talk show host gimmick, but she rose up a bit as a member of the faction known as Meta-Four, with Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, and Jakara Jackson. In recent months, we've seen Lash and Jakara make random appearances on Raw and SmackDown, with the pair making a play for the Women's Tag Team Championship. Lash was the second to enter that evening; Piper Niven was first, and interestingly, she had Chelsea Green alongside her.
Michin entered third, and this bout was very amazing. Lash showed out and proved that she could be in line for a decent push at some point in 2025. Unsurprisingly, Michin emerged victorious, and she's nearly favored to be the one who captures that title in the tournament

This is good. Three-quarters of the final four is set, and two of the three are the women who are the reason why the mid-card titles have finally arrived. Women like Chelsea Green and Michin have done so much to get over and they have been getting noticed. However, with the status quo being unchanged for years when it comes to the top championships in the Women's Division, Chelsea and Michin are two of many women who end up lost in the shuffle when they should be promoted. The reason why I wanted the titles in WWE much sooner is because I was hopeful it would lead to Tegan Nox getting something, but instead, they released her without giving her a proper chance.

So Michin joins Bayley and Chelsea Green in the Final Four, and the fourth and last Quarterfinal will take place on the next edition of SmackDown. In this bout, it will be Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, and Elektra Lopez going at it, with the winner completing the Semifinal field and facing Michin. I sense Tiffany Stratton winning this. I read one comment saying that they may have Tiffany win the tournament so she can have something due to the fact that, despite being Ms. Money in the Bank, the two top champions are quite protected. They don't want Tiffy beating Liv, and from what I've seen, the whole "Tiffany turning against Nia" thing seems to be fading. I hope this isn't true; honestly, it should be either Chelsea or Michin who win the tournament.
So the fourth and last Quarterfinal is set for the next SmackDown on December 6, and we should see both Semifinal matches on December 13, followed by the Final on Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14. I'm very excited to see how this ends, and I'm amped for the quest to crown WWE's first Women's Intercontinental Champion as well!
