Week 7 Picks Against the Spread
Bounce Back Week Coming

It's Thursday night and I just got home from a date that I did not want to be on but I went because a friend of mine convinced me to go and I felt bad about being there because it was never going to result to anything long term. I don't like misleading people, like the NY Giants, specifically Eli Manning, mislead me this past off season that he still had something left in the tank and the Giants would be good this year. So much hate but at least NBA season started this week; a saving grace when your favorite football team sucks and the NFL makes you sad now.
So I am home back on my couch. First order of business is check the NBA game on TV (NBA on TNT- shout to Ernie, Kenny, Shaq and Chuck; the best in the business) and currently the Philadelphia 76ers are beating up on the Chicago Bulls. I then check the Thursday night NFL game between the Cardinals and the Broncos and to no one's surprise, its hot garbage. And since the Yankees got beat by the Red Sox last week, I am out on playoff baseball (also fuck Boston). So what does a frustrating night lead to? Deciding on what crappy NFL games to place small wagers on for this upcoming week's games. Duh. At least until the Lakers and LeBron James tip off to start their season tonight against the Blazers; a possible silver lining and something that can salvage tonight's evening.
Now before I continue with the Week 7 picks, a few things.
Last week, after being 6-3-1 the previous 2 weeks, I had a losing week (2-3). The Broncos got a back door cover against the Rams which hurt my feelings and clinched the losing record for the week. I also couldn't have been more wrong about the Cowboys who kicked the crap out of the Jaguars. Thanks for nothing Jacksonville. On to top it all off, my head line for last weeks' blog post was titled: Week 5 picks Against the Spread when in fact it was week 6. Not a good look for the brand. But anyway, I ask myself in the memory of the great motivational speaker Matt Foley (shout out to one of the greatest SNL sketches ever–Chris Farley, what a legend) 'how can I get myself back on the right track'?!!! Well maybe these picks are the answers. So here we go, week seven ATS:
1. Panthers +4.5 against Philadelphia. I don't know what it is, but I don't trust this Eagles team just yet. Panthers are solid and I think they rebound after a loss.
2. Browns +3 against Tampa. I just think the Browns are flat out better than Tampa at the moment. I don't care if they are on the road; which is weird to say about the Cleveland Browns.
3. Vikings -3.5 against the Jets. The Jets are do for a come back down to earth moment. The universe needs to get back on track which means the Jets are due for a loss.
4. Patriots -3 against the Bears. The Pats do this a lot. Start off slow and dupe people into think they are done. I have fallen for it before. I think they have turned the corner and I doubt Mitch Trabisky is good enough to make the Pats defense pay.
5. Titans +6.5 against the Chargers. Just too many points for the Chargers to be laying since they are wildly inconsistent.
Good luck to all those with action on Week 7 and lets rebound this weekend.
