
No. 1 South Carolina 73, No. 2 UConn 57
Aliyah Boston led South Carolina to a big win over UConn, scoring 22 points with 15 rebounds. She shot 10-19 from the field in the win as seven of her 15 boards came from the offensive end. Guard Zia Cooke scored 17 points for South Carolina, while her backcourt mate Destanni Henderson led the team with six assists, six steals to go along with 15 points. Center Kamilla Cardoso came off of the bench to grab six rebounds, with four points and a blocked shot in 12 minutes of action.
UConn was led by Paige Bueckers, who had 19 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Her teammate Olivia Nelson-Ododa had a game-high five blocks, as well as six points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals.
No. 23 South Florida 71, No. 9 Oregon 62
After being outscored 18-13 in the first quarter, South Florida (4-2) took a 29-27 lead to the half before outscoring Oregon 42-25 in the second half to take the win. South Florida guard Elisa Pinzan had one of the best games in the NCAA on Monday night, posting 26 points, while shooting 4-4 from three and 8-8 from the free-throw line. She also had 10 assists and four steals.
Sydni Harvey scored 22 points for the winners as she drained four of her seven three-point attempts while shooting 8-10 from the free-throw line.
Pinzan's previous season high in points was 11 points as this was just the second time in six games that she scored more than 10 points. Harvey matched her season high in scoring as she posted 22 points in a 35-point win over Alcorn State on Nov. 11.
While South Florida took care of the ball passing out 17 assists with just 12 turnovers, Oregon had only 11 assists with 25 turnovers. Five players had at least three turnovers for the Ducks, led by Maddie Scherr's seven. Oregon was led in scoring by both Ahlise Hurst and Sydney Parrish who scored 15 points each. The Ducks played without Nyara Sabally who has played just two games after dealing with knee injuries. She is averaging 22 points in the two games that she has competed for Oregon.
Elon 76, North Carolina A&T 66
Ariana Nance shot 5-8 from three on her way to 19 points, leading Elon (4-0) to a 10-point home win over North Carolina A&T (0-5). Nance also posted four assists, three rebounds, two steals and one block. Her teammates guard Brie Perpignan and center Evonna McGill scored 16 points each. Perpignan was very productive for Elon, dishing out eight assists and tallying five rebounds. McGill had six rebounds and one block. Elon also got a good night from Kayla Liles who had 10 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one blocked shot.
Two players from North Carolina A&T had double-doubles. Chanin Scott posted 25 points and 10 boards, while Jazmin Harris had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Scott got her first double-double this season when she scored 17 points with 10 rebounds against Western Kentucky.
Buffalo 88, Syracuse 79
After starting the season with a 60-point win over Canisius, Buffalo suffered losses to South Carolina and Oklahoma. The Bulls rebounded when facing ACC opponent Syracuse. The Orange fell victim to the scoring exploits of Dyaisha Fair. The 5-5 junior guard bounced back from a 2-11 shooting night where she scored five points against Oklahoma, to score 34 points against Syracuse. Fair shot 11-15, including 7-11 from three. She also made five of her six free-throw attempts. Forward Summer Hemphill led Buffalo with 10 rebounds to go along with 28 points, as she shot a perfect 4-4 from three.
Syracuse was led by Chrislyn Carr, who scored 23 points. She shot 5-6 from long distance.
