Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 11)
Analyzing the highest scoring players, by position, during Week 11 of the 2024 season

Well, folkx, we are at that crucial period in the Fantasy Football season, and depending on the type of league you're in, you're down to either the final five weeks of the regular season, or the final four weeks. In a standard league, Week 11 begins the final five weeks of the regular season, though some leagues may only allow 14 regular season matchups and a three week playoffs that ends on Week 17. By this point, any and all trade deadlines have pretty much passed, so whatever team you have is yours in the long haul. If you have a pretty strong record by this point, the playoffs are in your future. If you're in the middle of the pack, hit the waiver wires. Anything worse, be prepared for that consolation tournament.
Let's take a look at Week 11's top scorers, shall we?
QB: Jared Goff

Here's how fantasy scoring works for quarterbacks: 1 point per every 25 passing yards (or 0.04 points per passing yard), and passing touchdowns are 4 points each. Interceptions are usually a 1 point deduction, and lost fumbles are a 2 point deduction. Unsurprisingly, Jared Goff took the lead for QBs in Week 11, because, well... the team put up 52 points. Goff's numbers: 412 yards (16.48 points), 4 touchdowns (16 points), and 21 rushing yards (2.1 points), for a grand total of 34.58 points. Absolutely dominant.
RB: Joe Mixon

Do the Bengals miss this guy yet? Seriously, why didn't they keep him. Scoring for running backs goes like this: 1 point per 10 rushing yards, touchdowns are 6 points each, and PPR also applies in some cases. Mixon's numbers: 109 yards (10.9 points) and 3 touchdowns (18 points), and caught two passes (2 points) for 44 yards (4.4 points). That's a grand total of 35.3 points, only a point and a half higher than Saquon Barkley.
WR: Amon-Ra St. Brown

Scoring for WRs goes like this: PPR is applied, and most leagues awards a full point per reception. Also, it's 1 point for every 10 receiving yards, and touchdowns are 6 points each. Amon-Ra St. Brown took the lead for receivers, catching 11 passes (11 points) for 161 yards (16.1 points) and two touchdowns (12 points), while his one rushing attempt resulted in a four yard loss (0.4 point deduction). That's a grand total of 38.7 points, allowing St. Brown to run away with the lead for WRs.
TE: Taysom Hill

Scoring for tight ends is the same for wide receivers, and here's where it gets interesting. The leader for tight ends in Week 11: Taysom Hill. New Orleans' Swiss army knife is listed as a QB and a TE in fantasy leagues, but the latter is his true position. Hill caught 8 passes (8 points) for 50 yards (5 points), ran for 138 yards (13.8 points) and three touchdowns (18 points), threw for 18 yards (0.72 points), but threw a pick (1 point deduction), and lost a fumble (2 point deduction). Hill's point total: 42.52 points. WOW!!!
K: Chris Boswell

Here's how scoring for kickers goes: extra points are 1 point, of course. Regarding field goals, those under 40 yards are worth 3 points, 40-49 yard FGs are worth 4 points, and those 50 yards or longer are worth 5 points. Chris Boswell took the lead for kickers again, as he had another six field goal game this season. Three of the FGs were from 50+ yards (15 points), and he made three others from less than 40 yards (9 points), totalling 24 fantasy points in Week 11.
DEF: Houston Texans

Here's how scoring for team defenses goes. Regarding scoring defenses, a shutout is 10 points, giving up 1-6 points is 7 points, giving up 7-13 points is 4 points, giving up 14-20 points is 1 point, giving up 21-27 points is no points, giving up 28-34 point is a 1 point deduction, and giving up at least 35 points is a 4 point deduction. Elsewhere, sacks are 1 point, interceptions are 2 points, safeties are 2 points, fumble recoveries are 2 points, blocked kicks are 2 points, and touchdowns are 6 points. The Texans defense took the lead because they were playing against a terrible Cowboys team that Monday night. They racked up five sacks (5 points), an interception (2 points), a fumble recovery (2 points) for a touchdown (6 points), and only gave up 10 points (4 points). That's 19 fantasy points total for Houston's defense. Amazing!
As for me, I only had Jared Goff, but... I didn't start him that week. Yikes. This is a very pivotal point in the Fantasy Football season, it's the playoff push. With that, I say, good luck to you in the next few weeks!
