Stephen Curry, born Wardell Stephen Curry II on March 14, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, is an American professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. He plays for the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Although born in Akron, Curry was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, where his father, Dell Curry, played most of his NBA career.
