My very first NFL game
I'm less than one month away from achieving a dream I've held since I was very little. While the Raiders are no longer in Oakland, just the thought of finally getting too see the silver and black run out of the tunnel is going to be an absolutely incredible experience.

Growing up in Northern Nevada, two teams heavily dominated the area, the San Francisco 49ers and, at that time anyway, the Oakland Raiders! Around age four, I became addicted to watching football and very quickly became a die-hard fan of the silver and black. They were always on television where I lived, and when I was growing up, they were regularly in the playoffs and fighting for the top of the division. The main thing that drew me in was their motto, "Commitment to Excellence"! When you analyze the history of the Raiders, it became apparent very quickly that it wasn't just a catchy motto; it was a way of life. Even after a decade and a half of irrelevance and poor play, they still have forty-four more wins than losses with a record of four hundred ninety-one wins and four hundred forty-seven losses since their inception before the nineteen-sixty American Football League season.
After their move to Las Vegas, I was torn between my love for tradition and my excitement that my favorite sports team had just moved into the state I was born and raised. Three years removed from the move; I believe it was the best thing for the franchise's future and current prospects. I'll always appreciate and respect Oakland, but it's undeniable that guys would rather go to Vegas than Oakland. The proof of that is the upswing in talent willing to suit up for the silver and back since the to Las Vegas move before the two thousand twenty season.
To say this will be a dream come true is an understatement. Honestly, I never expected to see a Raider game live. While the "Death Star" doesn't yet hold the same amount of history as the Coliseum in Oakland did, it will undeniably be the place of some of the greatest successes that the Raiders have ever seen. With the recent acquisition of top wide receiver Davante Adams, an offense that was already progressing well the last few years, got a significant piece to add going into this season. They'll have him for quite a few seasons, considering Adams signed a five-year contract after the trade. With a top ten quarterback, a top three tight end, the top receiver in football, and a flurry of top-tier talent around them, I believe this season will be the best season for a Raiders squad since their Super Bowl season in 2002. As long as the defense can stay ranked around fifteenth or so, it should give the offense plenty of wiggle room and the ability to light up the scoreboard week in and week out.
Although it's only the preseason, I look forward to seeing some of what the Raiders will be fielding going into the two thousand twenty-three National Football League season. My seats are reasonably close to field level, and although the starters probably won't play, getting to see everything will be a blessing. I'll have more than enough ability to see the action unfold as it does.
My overall record guess leaves the Raiders ending the season 13-4 with a top three offense in the league! The defense is the part that has me nervous heading into the season. With the addition of players like Anthony Averett and Chandler Jones, it should go a long way towards helping sure up a defense that ranked twenty-sixth last season, including ranking towards the bottom on the defensive line. Chandler Jones will go a long way towards helping that not be repeated two years in a row. On defense, they'll be bringing back star defensive end Maxx Crosby, 2021 tackle leader Denzel Perryman, and 2nd-year standout safety Trevon Moehrig. With an offensive unit set to be as prolific as the Raiders is, all we need from the defense is to hold opposing offense to around twenty points and to have a positive turnover ratio, which hasn't happened since two thousand sixteen when they were still in Oakland.
