Once upon a time many people in the world had this thought that women's basketball players were not as beautiful as others. It's sad but true. However as we have shown you since 2020 (check the links at the end of this feature), women's basketball players are beautiful both inside and out. These women set goals in athletics, education and elsewhere. The most important thing is that they accomplish their goals while living a healthy lifestyle which serve as examples to all of us (male and female) that we can all have large dreams and exceed all expectations! We present to you 2022 version of our "Most Beautiful Basketball Players" series.

Autumn Newby - LSU

Autumn Newby is a 6-2 forward who is having the finest season of her career. After three seasons at Vanderbilt, Newby is shooting a career best .571 from the field while averaging another career high of eight rebounds per contest. She has grabbed at least 10 rebounds on nine occasions. The senior has shot over 60 percent from the field on 11 occasions. Newby had her best offensive day of the season Jan. 27, when she scored 15 points on 6-8 shooting against Arkansas. She is also helping her team on the defensive side averaging one steal per game.

Jaelyn Royal - Winthrop

Jaelyn Royal is a senior guard from Las Vegas, Nevada. A, 6-1 forward, she had her best game of the season so far against her team's hardest opponent. Royal scored 11 points with five rebounds and a steal against Kentucky. Prior to playing for Winthrop, Royal was a key player at Southwest Tennessee Community College. There she averaged 10.8 points per game during the 2019-20 season. She scored a season high 22 points three times during that year. Royal was also a quality defender as she got the job done as a rebounds, shot blocker and ball thief. She collected 10 or more rebounds five times, blocked three more shots five times and stole the ball three times or more seven times.

Anisah Douglas - Florida A&M

Senior guard Anisah Douglas is competing for Florida A&M for the first time after a few stops along the way. The San Jose, California product had her best game thus far this season against Mississippi Valley State. She scored nine points on 4-6 shooting, while dishing out four assists with four rebounds and one steal. During the 2018-19 season Douglas averaged 14 points per game in 11 contests for Foothill College. The following season she played 29 games De Anza College. The 5-9 guard averaged 18.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Douglas scored at least 30 points twice that season. Her best night was a 35-point performance during her team's 122-65 road win over Mission. She also posted a double-double that night with 11 rebounds to go along with two steals and two blocked shots.

Destiny Fields - West Virginia State

West Virginia State guard, Destiny Fields is averaging 11.2 points while playing just 18.4 minutes per game. She is also posting averages of 4.7 points and 1.3 steals per contest. Fields's top scoring effort this season came on Nov. 29, when she pumped in 22 points in 26 minutes against Elizabeth City State. She scored 20 in 23 minutes against West Liberty, Dec. 11, shooting 9-13. On defense she shined against Alderson Broaddus snatching five steals. The 5-10 forward out of Reynoldsburg, Ohio had her best rebounding performance against Fairmont State when she hauled in 12 boards. Her best scoring season of her three years at West Virginia State was last year when she averaged 13.9 points on a career best .517 overall shooting percentage.
