All-National Women's Basketball Honors by Winners Only
Gondrezick, Mack, Obiazor take solo honors

(All statistical data was collected before the 2021 NCAA Tournament.)
National Player of the Year
Kysre Gondrezick, West Virginia
This five-foot-nine senior guard led West Virginia to a 21-6 finish. Kysre Gondrezick averaged career highs with 20 points and 4.7 assists per game. Her biggest game of the season was a 30-point, nine-assist and four-steal performance against TCU. She led West Virginia to a gritty overtime win over Tennessee with 27 points, five assists and five steals. Gondrezick is a tough, quick trigger shooter that also understands how and when to distribute to her teammates. She helped lead WVU to its best win percentage of .777 since the 2013-14 season.
Gondrezick started her career at Michigan before transferring to West Virginia in 2018. She has scored 1,372 career points, dished out 297 assists, grabbed 280 rebounds and swiped 120 steals.
Defensive Player of the Year
Natasha Mack, Oklahoma State
At six-foot-four, Natasha Mack was a menace on the court with averages of 19.8 points per game, 12.3 rebounds and an NCAA best four blocked shots per game. We are almost certain that she will be a star in the WNBA and if we had the number one pick, Natasha Mack would be crossing the stage first. Her best game of the season was a triple-double performance where she scored 28 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked 10 shots against TCU. Mack had eight games with at least six blocks and yanked 15 or more rebounds on 11 occasions.
In two seasons after starting her career at a junior college, Mack tallied 951 points, 633 rebounds and 194 blocks in her first 51 games. She has career averages of 18.6 points, 12.4 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game.
Freshman of the Year
Nneka Obiazor, Youngtown State
Nneka Obiazor averaged 15.2 points per game, grabbed 8.3 rebound was a powerful force for mid-major Youngstown State. After a rocky first two weeks, she showed steady improvement. By the end of the season she was arguably one of the top five players in the Horizon League. Her biggest performance of the year was a 29-point performance in a late season win over Cleveland State.
