So who will leave London victorious? Take a look at these predictions.
Hangman Page vs. MJF - AEW World Championship
Hangman Page once again finds himself feuding with MJF. This time the AEW World Championship is at stake. MJF is eager to become champion again and is determined to do whatever it takes to defeat Page. MJF has proven to be formidable adversary with his mind games, but Hangman is no coward, he's a fighting cowboy.
Prediction: Page is only a month into his title reign, no way he loses this early.
"Timeless" Toni Storm vs. Athena - AEW Women's World Championship
ROH Women's World Champion Athena is officially on the AEW roster and aiming for more gold. She has her sights set on the AEW Women's Championship. At Forbidden Door, she'll cash in her contract for a shot at Toni Storm's title. Storm has been a great Women's Champion and she's one of AEW's best wrestlers. Many women have tried, yet failed to dethrone Storm. But could Athena finally be the one to take down the starlet?
Prediction: There's no doubt that Athena and Toni will put on an excellent match, but when it comes to the winner, look for Athena to sneak out a victory.
Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli), The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd - Lights Out Steel Cage Match
Ospreay and Allin haves suffered at the hands of The Death Riders. Now they’ll have a chance to get revenge on the faction. With the help of Omega, Ibushi, and Tanahashi; they’re going to put up a huge fight against Mox, Claudio, The Young Bucks, and Kidd. It’s going to be a tense and bloody battle as anything goes inside the steel cage.
Prediction: Look for Ospreay and his team to score the win in his hometown.
Mercedes Mone vs. Alex Windsor vs. Persephone vs. Bozilla - AEW TBS Championship
Mercedes Mone faces her toughest challenge as TBS Champion when she defends the title in a four-way match. Stardom’s Bozilla, CMLL’s Persephone, and AEW’s newest wrestler Alex Windsor are looking to be the one to dethrone Mone. After Mone’s loss at All In could her losing streak continue at Forbidden Door?
Prediction: It’s going to come down to Mone and Windsor. While Windsor is phenomenal and receiving a big push, she’s not ready for a championship. Expect Mone to sneak out a win and continue her title reign.
The Hurt Syndicate vs. FTR vs. Brody King and Bandido - AEW World Tag Team Championship
The Hurt Syndicate find themselves defending their tag titles in another three-way match. After FTR vs. Brody King and Bandido ended in a time limit draw, both teams were awarded a championship shot at Forbidden Door. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin have been dominant in their tag team matches. But with FTR hungry for another championship reign, and King and Bandido wanting to become tag champions, The Hurt Syndicate has their work cut out.
Prediction: The Hurt Syndicate’s dominance continues.
Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland - AEW Unified Championship
Okada is furious with Strickland because he cost his pals, The Young Bucks their EVP titles. The two men have built up a heated feud since All In with Strickland setting his sights on Okada’s Unified Championship. Swerve was unlucky at last year’s Forbidden Door when he lost the AEW World Championship to Bryan Danielson. Could luck be on his side with the Unified Championship?
Prediction: Okada and Strickland will put on a heck of a fight, but look for Okada to win.
Kyle Fletcher vs. Hiromu Takahashi - AEW TNT Championship
It’s been three weeks since Kyle Fletcher won the TNT Championship, and he’s about to face his biggest opponent. Wanting to become part of Forbidden Door, Fletcher demanded NJPW send their best wrestler. NJPW delivered with Hiromu Takahashi. The two gave fans a sneak peek of what to expect when they participated in a recent tag match on Dynamite. There’s no doubt Fletcher and Takahashi will deliver a great match.
Prediction: Fletcher’s championship reign isn’t ending so soon.
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage vs. Killswitch and Kip Sabian
After The Patriarchy turned on Christian Cage, he was saved by his former friend Adam Copeland. Although there’s still some bitterness between the Cage and Copeland, they’ll have to put that aside when they team up to take on Patriarchy members Killswitch and Kip Sabian. With Nick Wayne and Mother Wayne possibly interfering, Cage and Copeland will have their work cut out.
Prediction: Cage and Copeland score the win and reignite their friendship and tag team partnership.
Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Nigel McGuinness - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
Nigel McGuiness won a four-way match to earn a shot at Zack Sabre Jr’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Although McGuiness was retired from wrestling, he’s been making his return to the squared circle. It’ll make a feel good moment if he beats Sabre to win NJPW gold. However, there’s the question of Daniel Garcia’s loyalty to McGuiness since he’ll be ringside for the match.
Prediction: Sabre wins after Garcia costs McGuiness the match.
