Teddy Weighted Blanket
Time for another review, this time we have a product from a really cool company. It’s called Teddy Weighted Blankets and they have an alpaca, a sable, a teddy and of course a penguin. Wow!

I like the idea of weighted blankets. I never really had a reason to buy one but I have seen a few pictures floating around online. They looked interesting, especially as it was getting a bit chilly, however never got around to buying one. Teddy Weighted Blankets are an original idea which is reasonably priced.
What is So Great About These Blankets?
A weighted blanket is a sleeping bag filled with stuffing, usually plastic pellets. These pellets weigh 15 to 25 pounds, which means that the average weighted blanket will have a weight of 15 pounds. The idea is that when you feel the cold, you will then cover yourself with a blanket, which in turn will warm you up.
Ok, So What’s All The Fuss About?
Well, in general the idea is that weighted blankets are supposed to help comfort people with anxiety, insomnia and autism. This is not exactly new information.
The uses of these blankets are quite broad and have been around for decades. After researching the idea, it seems that the basic idea for weighted blankets is so simple that many people would think that its effectiveness would be limited to such, however that is not even close to the truth.
How Weighted Blankets Work?
The idea is that you wrap yourself in the blanket. The more it is weighted, the heavier it feels. When your muscles tense up, they close off, forcing your body to hold on to the heat. This causes more blood flow, which causes you to feel warmer. These blankets are also referred to as deep touch pressure therapy.
There are a bunch of studies which show that these blankets can help insomnia and help people fall asleep easier. Read more content about teddy weighted blanket
When and where to use them
There are a variety of places around the house that you could use a blanket. You would not want to sleep under it, obviously. However, you could sleep with them on whilst you are relaxing, watching TV, meditating and such. If you are going on a trip, you could take your blanket with you. Most manufacturers say that they can be used by all ages but it is important that you are an adult before buying.
How Great Are They?
Well, in general the weighted blankets are great. They are reasonably priced, come in different sizes and shapes and they are made from good quality materials.
Which One To Go For?
This is the hardest part. They are all so lovely. You will have to decide which one you like the best.
The Alpaca. This is of course made from alpaca, also called Suri Alpaca. It is the softest and warmest weighted blanket that Teddy Weighted Blankets offers. It is made from a hypo-allergenic material. It is well made and the coloring is divine.
The Sable. The sable weighted blanket is also made from alpaca. It is made from a higher density material than the alpaca weighted blanket and feels firmer. The material is hypoallergenic, the coloring is sable brown and is made from the same material as the alpaca weighted blanket.
The Penguin. The penguin weighted blanket is made from ultra suede. It is a heavier weighted blanket, coming in at a weight of 23 pounds. The coloring is orange and the penguin is a beautiful design and looks super cute.
The Bear. The bear weighted blanket is made from an ultra suede material. It is also a heavier weighted blanket, coming in at a weight of 24 pounds. The coloring is brown and the teddy bear design is the same cute design as the penguin weighted blanket.
These are all good quality, well made blankets and are competitively priced.
Final Thoughts
I would totally recommend these weighted blankets. They are a fun idea and a pretty good idea as well. These weighted blankets really help with insomnia, anxiety, autistic spectrum disorders and for people who struggle to sleep.
