From the iconic Encore to the Super Bowl exclusive, we ranked every Eminem x Air Jordan collaboratio

The diamond white boy, Marshall “Eminem” Mathers has been doing business with the Jumpman Brand for over two decades. He’s been able to remain a polarizing figure in the genre. From grim horrorcore to soft lullabies to his daughter Hailie Jade tinged with menace, he's been able to capture the imaginations of the populace.

The Jordan brand has seemingly surrounded the rapper and offered him multiple models of various incarnations of various sneakers.

From the Jordan II to the Jordan V, this has been a mainstay in the union between Mathers and the epic sneaker and apparel label.

This just shows the power of fashion. At one time, the sneakerheads seemed to be zesty little creampuffs. Then, they brought out the guns at lines stretching around buildings, shot in the air or at someone, and then returned to their place in line.

Now, sneaker connoisseurs know about savvy ways to obtain such footwear. What Em’ counts on is the popularity of the shoes and how they talk about the sneakers. In part, there is a way the shoes convey a scale and a scope of what it means to be a shoe enthusiast.

Eminem is a top five MC who has transcended his race, ironically, showing that he is more than his whiteness. With skill and might on the mic, he’s been able to ascend to the loftiest levels of the rap game.

For him to hold onto a brand mainly associated with not just a black man but the epitome of excellence, is just a testament to his sense of knowing with whom to link.

His bond with Dr. Dre is like his sneaker deal with Jordan: steadfast, real, strong. The specific details of the sneakers from the backwards “E” on the Air Jordan Superbowl to the three-way collaboration on the Air Jordan 3 Carhartt, there seems to be no stoppage of the meeting of minds for all parties involved.

What makes it so cool is that the Jordan brand is so influential and gives billions to a figure who defined an era and leapt over the competition to be regarded as the greatest of all time.

Em’ can be talked about in the GOAT talk but he isn’t the best. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have great storytelling, awesome imagery, succinct, staccato delivery and overall spectacle make him one of the best.

But to team up with Jordan means he sees himself aligned with excellence.

Going back to his seminal work, Em’ fielded heavy controversy but sold extremely well. His ability to line up with Jordan has granted him even more visibility than he had possessed before his first callabo.

In the time he has had with making it possible for other rappers white otherwise to create, build, and make their own careers.

The sneakers become more than just playing ball in or even matching your shirt with your shoes. As Eminem has demonstrated, it is the possibility to continue to make money for himself or his 501(c)(3).

In actuality, he’s going to become even more successful both in the rap game and in the sneaker game. All of these styles and color ways have prompted him to move forward under the steam of his own pedigree.

The power of his star has shone brightly over the many lives that he has touched. His agile nature and certainty in rap extends to his construction and approval of the various Jumpman collaborations.

In just over two decades, Eminem’s jolt to the systems of music and fashion have led to the glory and grace of matching one with the other.
