Although the branches outside may be covered with snow; you can still celebrate this month. At the same time, in Washington D.C., they host a Cherry Blossom Festival for the entire month of February.

The Pacific Northwest has the perfect weather and soil so cherries flourish. Although cherries have a shorter growth sprout; they will transition from flower to fruit. Because there is rapid growth; you can expect to see a lot of cherries to grow quickly.
