Katie Thurston, known for her appearances on The Bachelor and as the star of The Bachelorette’s 17th season, has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. In her post, Thurston opened up about the challenges she has faced since her diagnosis. She described feeling a mix of emotions, including despair, anger, sadness, and denial, before finding strength and purpose. “I experienced a range of emotions... Despair. Anger. Sadness. Denial. And then strength. Purposeful. Ready,” she wrote.

Thurston had been planning to travel the world with Arcuri before settling down in New York City. However, her plans were abruptly put on hold as she now focuses on her health. “Instead, my Valentine’s Day was spent coordinating a place to live as I have to go back to LA for more testing and treatment,” she shared.

Thurston revealed that her treatment plan will include chemotherapy, surgery, and fertility preservation. She has already scheduled appointments for additional biopsies, mental health support, and consultations with her medical team.
