These interpersonal bonds and wonderful encounters have led to the birth of a variety of watches, and this series of watches has become increasingly enriched, and has continued to develop in terms of individual design and technological innovation.

Since the birth of the first Royal Oak offshore watch in 1993, it is now the 30th Anniversary. With this, Audemars Piguet launched four new models, constantly innovating in terms of movement, material, polishing and dial design. This one we are going to introduce today is created by Audemars Piguet to pay tribute to the "End of Days" , released in 1999.

That year, at the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the protagonist of End of Days, Audemars Piguet developed the first limited edition Royal Oak Offshore watch. The watch is made of black PVD-finished stainless steel case, the hour markers and hands are embellished with yellow, limited to 500 pieces, and finally succeeded in raising 1 million US dollars for charity organization "After-School All-Stars".

In 1999, the Royal Oak Offshore "End of Days" anniversary edition was launched

Now, in order to pay tribute to this masterpiece that made the Royal Oak collection awareness, Audemars Piguet reproduces the essence of the End of Days limited edition. The case and bezel are made of black ceramic, with anti-glare sapphire crystal glass and bottom cover. The crown is also made of black ceramic, while the pusher bridges, links and caseback are made of titanium.

Audemars Piguet does not completely copy the classic End of Days watch. The most obvious difference is that the original left three-eye dial layout has been changed to the lower three-eye dial layout. At the same time, the dial pattern is also engraved with “Méga Tapisserie” oversized pattern decoration, with a black sub-dial and outer area, white gold yellow fluorescent three-dimensional hour markers and Royal Oak hands, and a black inner bezel.

The hour markers of this new model also employs geometric shapes instead of Arabic numerals, and the eye-catching yellow decoration of the year can still be seen on the hour markers, hands, and the speedometer scale on the outer ring. The replaceable black calfskin strap is paired with a yellow stitching and titanium buckle, and a yellow calfskin strap is also attached, which not only echoes the dial of this watch, but also inherits the classics.

With the development of the times, the back of the watch has also been replaced with a transparent case back. This new model is equipped with 4401 automatic chronograph caliber and has a power reserve of 70 hours. The rotor is covered with NAC coating in dark gray, echoing the overall black tone of this watch. In addition to the series name engraved on the edge of the case back, the limited number of this watch edition is also engraved. Like the limited edition of the year, this new model is still limited to 500 pieces.

In general, this new 30th anniversary edition of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, compared with the End of Days limited edition of that year, whether it is the layout change of the three-eye dial, or the changes in various details such as grid pattern and material, it is completely different. It shows that Audemars Piguet does not want to purely create a replica work, but wants to use the spirit of contemporary works to interpret the charming style of classics.
