What happens to people who meditate every day?
What can meditation do for us?

To be honest, I have been meditating for more than half a year, and my previous stinky problems have been corrected a lot. If I get a new life, I also see more hope. Because many of the problems that plagued me have been gradually resolved, my whole person is not as "lost" as before, and I also begin to feel that I will strive for a better life if I work hard.
★ What changes has meditation brought me?
1 Improve concentration
In the past, when I was most anxious, I couldn’t sit still for half an hour, so I couldn’t do anything during that period. I broke everything into small pieces and could only do a little bit every half hour.
Small things are okay, but when you encounter big tasks that require a long time of concentration, you can’t sit still and suffer.
After 3 weeks of meditation practice, there was no obvious change, which led to doubts about meditation during that time. Fortunately, I persuaded myself to keep practicing and finally saw the effect.
After a month of continuous practice, I obviously found that my concentration has improved qualitatively. Not only the time of concentration can be increased to an hour and a half, but the quality of concentration has also been greatly improved (not easily distracted, in a daze, etc.).
2 Relieve anxiety and improve temper
I used to be a temperamental person who often fell into self-blame and anxiety due to stress. When I am impatient, I will quarrel with others because of some things.
Later, people around me reminded me that my temper had improved, so I went to look through the diary, and sure enough, I had not lost my temper for more than a month.
I summed up my experience in the past few months, and found that even if I encounter people or things that make me angry, I don’t lose my temper very much. Feeling unhappy is only temporary, and the mood will quickly recover.
In fact, thinking about this now is a very big benefit of meditation - improving the ability to regulate emotions.
It can not only regulate your anxiety and anger, but also regulate your various negative emotions (self-blame, low self-esteem, bullying, etc.), allowing you to naturally
Feel relaxed and at ease.
3 Sleep quality and routine
In the past, I was a person who sometimes had to take sleeping pills to get a good night’s sleep. If I forgot to take the pills before going to bed one day, I would suffer from insomnia until the middle of the night, and then my mood the next day would be extremely bad.
In the past half a year of practicing meditation, I was actually using some traditional Chinese medicines to calm the nerves and nourish the brain, but meditation gave me the feeling that the effect of the medicines was better, and I basically fell asleep within 10 minutes of lying down every night. And the mood the next day was very stable.
In the past, I used to stay up until twelve o'clock, and it was painful to get up in the morning. With the persistence of meditation practice, I slowly moved forward the sleep time to ten thirty, and got up more than an hour earlier in the morning. Sleepy and full of energy.
I think the changes in work and rest patterns and sleep quality should be suitable for all meditation practitioners. As long as you keep practicing, it can take as little as 2 weeks or as many as 4 weeks, and there will be obvious effects.
4 memory skills
At one point I suspected that my memory was below the average of the average person.
If you ask me what I ate and bought for lunch and dinner yesterday, I'll think for a while and tell you that I don't remember anything at all.
Not only in daily life, but when I was in college, I found that I had a problem with my memory: I was preparing for the test for a week, and other students could match each other's answers when they walked out of the test room, but I forgot a lot of knowledge I just recited an hour ago. Can't remember at all.
Years after graduating, I still couldn't improve my memory effectively until I got into meditation.
The improvement of memory ability of meditation is not a process that you practice today and will be effective tomorrow, but needs to persist for at least 1 month.
An obvious change in myself is that I can start to remember what I did yesterday, and the materials I read a while ago can be stored in my mind at any time as needed.
You don’t need to read it when you get it out of the sub, and the things you haven’t done in the to-do list will automatically pop up to remind yourself when you’re not busy.
I used to have low self-esteem because of my bad memory and suddenly found that the feeling of being able to remember things in my mind is really cool.
In fact, not only memory ability, but also sleep, mood, concentration, etc. will gradually change significantly after you persist for 1 month, so if you persist, amazing things will happen.
5 Start a simple life, rational choice is no longer driven by consumerism
Meditation is a very simple, simple thing, and it slowly teaches you one thing—the essence of life is to focus on the present moment.
Many times we feel busy, confused, and decadent, which is actually related to the inability to let go of the past and the future, and instead ignore the present.
By using the breath as an anchor for your awareness, you will continually practice returning to the present moment in meditation. If you persist for a long time, you will find that you will gradually start to pay attention to the different sides of some things, and will not be easily carried away by external information.
I used to think that a girl's wardrobe is always short of shoes, a dresser is always short of lipstick, and she has to find ways to buy new and interesting products.
Whenever e-commerce platforms hold a big consumer festival, I always feel very excited. I always feel that I need to figure out all the reduction and exemption routines so that I can buy a lot and save a lot, but I seldom think about “are these products really what I need?”.
Meditation has brought me a new way of life - when I start to focus on the present moment and enjoy the moment, my heart is easily satisfied, not always thinking about what I lack, but more about what I have.
I began to clean up the shopping carts and favorites of the shopping website, began to pay attention to the practicality of the products (whether I could keep using them for more than 2 years), began to explore the multiple uses of small things in life, began to see through the consumerism traps of merchants, and began to reduce my desires , enjoy a state of contentment.
6 Better gastrointestinal function
I have chronic gastritis, and I feel dizzy and exhausted when I attack. Although there are medicines, chronic diseases can only be alleviated, not cured.
I have been meditating for more than half a year, and I will often feel the uncomfortable parts through meditation, and relax a little bit, imagining that there is a warm light shining on myself.
Stress is stored in different parts of the body in different ways, so long-term meditation and relaxation have a great effect on relieving stress and relieving stomach pains.
help.
In the past, I could not drink coffee or strong tea, and could not eat too greasy and spicy food. I often had stomach pains. Every time I used medicine to relieve it. I haven't taken stomach medicine for several months now, because I can't use it, so I think my stomach function should be improved.
7 Cervical spondylosis improved
Last year, the cervical spine was so severe that the intervertebral disc was herniated. Sitting still for a long time made my head dizzy and felt nauseated. However, taking medicine in this area had no effect. The doctor only asked me to massage every day.
When I persist in meditation practice, I will not only relax my whole body, including my neck and shoulders, during static meditation (sitting, lying), but also deliberately relax my shoulders and waist during dynamic meditation (walking) to release the pressure stored in the cervical spine .
Although I haven't been to the hospital for re-examination in the past few months, I still have some stiffness after sitting for a long time, but I can clearly feel that the pain in my neck and shoulders has disappeared.
8 The efficiency of rest has been improved, and the fatigue is not so continuous, and it is easy to be resurrected with full blood
In the past, when I was shopping online, watching TV shows, or going for a walk, my mind was still thinking about work, so I was resting, but I didn’t rest well, that is, my heart was still very tired.
Now, when watching TV, I completely immerse myself in the plot. I will deliberately relax my whole body through short breaths to get myself out of the tense state. .
When walking the dog, stop thinking about annoying or human affairs, just focus on the lawn in the park, the evening wind, the river, pedestrians, and your dog, and focus completely on the present moment. dynamic meditation
The advantage of this is that, through relaxation at night and sleep, I can almost be revived the next day with full blood, and the negative emotions are also cleaned up quickly, and it is not easy to feel persistent fatigue.
