As night turns day, life continues creating a new story for people … but not for all. No not for everyone. Day in and day out, Sam lives through the same day. Nothing ever changes, except for the books he reads. But he doesnt realise.
Waking to the snow dropping over his cabin by the woods.
“Life is amazing,” he thinks to himself, starting his morning with his daily short hike through the snow-capped mountains of Scotland. It takes him an hour to return to his cabin, each day stays the same forever peaceful, unchanging.
He continues his day relaxing by the fireplace with a book, which changes every day. Before he knows it, night has fallen. That is when she comes home, the love of his life, his wife Nora. He makes her dinner, then loves her, touching her body, kissing her soft, plump rosy lips; heated breaths touch each other's skin, sending goosebumps, raising hairs. Lying upon her ripened breasts, listening to her tender breaths; he wants the night to always continue, so this moment never ends for them.
But it all starts again, he does not remember the night before and relives it all over again. On his hike, the winds are howling a woman’s soft voice calls out to him, it sounded like Nora.
“Sam, my darling. Please I need you to wake up.” then fades into the howls of the wind.
He returns home and prepares for the evening, just like all the other nights before. As his love opens the door and stands there. Sam felt a sudden sharp pain in his heart, he falls to one knee.
“Please darling, I need you here.” She said, Sam was confused as to what his wife was saying. She walks up to him and stands next to him.
“Darling, I am here. What are you talking about?” He asked him, she did not respond.
“You’re not really here, are you?” He says to her, he stands up and caresses her; as he touched her face, his hand went through her, like she was a ghost.
“This is a dream isn’t it.” He said.
Though it was peaceful, he knew it was time to wake up, he could not remain in his dream-like state forever. Before he wakes himself up, he went outside to the chill night feeling its cold embrace. He looked to the stars; one bright light stood out from them all. They were far apart but also felt so close. He was ready, letting the feeling of love take him away from his hermit- like dream.
Sam opened his eyes to a bright ceiling light; he could feel his hand being held. He looked; it was Nora holding it.
“You called me, Nora.” He said to her in a husky voice. With the sound of his voice, her headshot right up.
Tears ran down her face, “You’re awake. Oh Sam, I've missed you. You’ve been asleep for so long.”
Sam squeezes her hand, “You were always with me, and will forever be. I love you.”
