Desire for Enlightenment

In my own experience the path to enlightenment, was by far one of the most challenging processes any human will ever, consciously walk in a lifetime. When that moment arrives, we don’t know exactly where we are headed or what the bigger picture of this journey looks like, that we are about to embark on. But it is a feeling in our soul that tells us, wherever it is that we are about to go, is a very different place then where we are currently or where we have ever been before. And the more we try to resist this calling, the more the universe will make life so completely uncomfortable & unbearable, that we really have no choice but to follow it’s calling. This directions are always for our most desired outcome, though it doesn’t always feel this way at the time.
It is only now after reaching this place of enlightenment, that on a personal level I can fully understand why it is that I had to walk this really long, lonely & challenging spiritual awakening path, that was guided purely by my own intuitive guidance and psychic abilities.
There are so many teachings out there that say, when we reach this place of enlightenment, that we become one with the universe & all that is, or that we no longer desire love, but instead we become love, or that we no longer desire the truly beautiful things that this life has to offer, but instead we reside only in a place of gratitude for everything that we already have without the desire to want/be more, or that we surrender to the universe and become the love and light that guides other through our service, without the desire for self-gain or personal fulfillment. I question these teaching only from a place of respect, as it came to my awareness during my own awakening process that I was forcing myself to suppress any & all of my deepest desires, in life and everything that it has to offer, by following these teachings & belief systems. And whilst I do agree with some of these teachings, I feel like they are somewhat out of balance.
Everything in life is about creating balance, to allow things to flow freely. Without desire nothing & no one would ever evolve or change. We cannot have light without the darkness, admiration without jealousy or love without hate. Experiencing both opposing ends of the spectrum, is what truly teaches us, what the other is really all about.
So, from my place of enlightenment, I ask this question. "What is life without desire?" It is apathy, disinterest, or dispassion. A person without desire to me, is someone that is disassociated and numb, of themselves & the world around them. Desire is our driving force, in everything that we do & wish to become.
As a highly evolved Soul, Ascended Master, Heyoka Empath & Healer myself, I have spent endless years studying, practicing, healing & educating myself & others. With this comes, immense desire & passion to help heal & guide those that require my wide range of specialised skills. I also desire all of the other things that this incredible life has to offer, too. Like giving, receiving & sharing unconditional love, companionship & support especially with those I hold closest to my heart. I am also filled with desire not only for all of the people, places & experiences that I already have in my life, but for those that are yet to come, as I follow my destined path in life.
It is in my opinion, that many individuals that find themselves on a spiritual awakening path, that follow these belief systems to remove all desire, is actually preventing & blocking them from reaching this final state of enlightenment in the spiritual awakening process.
It is really important to understanding that once we do finally reach this place of enlightenment, that it is really just a nice way of saying that we are now free from the karmic death & rebirth lifecycles. Where we have brought complete karmic balance into our lives, from all lifetimes, both past & present. And that we stand in our power as our most authentic self, operating equally from our integrated soul & ego. Many try to remove their ego completely, this is not possible, as we would only be suppressing it, too. The soul is our guidance system & our ego is our security system. Both equally as important as the other to be working in harmony with each other to guide us.
So, when we arrive on this new path of enlightenment, our new path is now all about getting excited & falling in love with life & everything it has to offer, once again. By embracing our all of our dreams, desires & passions to create extraordinary changes in the world, in everything that we do. Unconditional Love & Desire are equally the driving forces of the universe & all that is.

The Silent Pattern That Is Draining Your Life Without You Noticing Not all psychological struggles announce themselves loudly. Some don’t come as panic attacks, breakdowns, or visible crises. Some arrive quietly. They blend into your routine. They feel like “just life.” And that is exactly why they are so dangerous. This article is about one of those patterns. When Functioning Becomes a Disguise You wake up. You do what needs to be done. You fulfill responsibilities. From the outside, you look fine. But internally, something feels… depleted. Not sadness. Not anxiety. Just a constant low-level exhaustion — mental, emotional, existential. This is not laziness. And it is not weakness. It is a psychological pattern built around over-functioning. The Over-Functioning Trap Over-functioning happens when your sense of worth becomes tied to: Being useful Being reliable Being the “strong one” Holding everything together At first, it feels like maturity. Later, it becomes identity. Eventually, it becomes a prison. You stop asking: “What do I need?” “What do I feel?” “What do I want?” Because survival has trained you to focus only on: “What must be done next?” Why This Pattern Forms This pattern often develops early: In emotionally unpredictable environments In households where your needs were secondary When being “low-maintenance” kept the peace When responsibility arrived before safety So you adapted. You learned to function without support. You learned to silence discomfort. You learned to keep moving — no matter the cost. And it worked. Until it didn’t. The Cost No One Talks About The cost is subtle but heavy: Chronic emotional numbness Difficulty resting without guilt Feeling disconnected even during success A sense that life is happening around you, not within you You may achieve things. You may be admired. But fulfillment feels strangely absent. That absence is not a flaw in you. It is a signal. Awareness Is the First Disruption This pattern survives on invisibility. Once you see it, it weakens. Start noticing: When productivity replaces self-worth When rest feels unsafe When you only feel valuable while giving You don’t need to “fix” yourself overnight. You need to listen — without judgment. Healing here is not dramatic. It is quiet. Consistent. And deeply human. A Final Thought You were not meant to merely function.
