Recent news reports that Trump initiated an abrupt halt on federal grants and loans. According to press secretary, Karolin Leavitt, the reason for the attempted halt was because the administration was trying to be "good stewards" of public money by making sure that there was "no more funding for transgenderism and wokeness" however a federal judge, Judge Loren L. AliKhan for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued a stay against a White House directive that ordered a spending freeze on federal assistance.
A spending freeze on federal assistance could affect everything from aid to nonprofits, universities, small business loans and state and local government grants. Multiple organizations have expressed their concerns. Head Start, which allocates funding for preschool programs aimed at low-income children, indicated that the memo could significantly hinder its capacity to support nearly 800,000 children and their families across the country.
Meals on Wheels announced on Tuesday that they are assessing the implications of the order. The organization stated, "If this order indeed encompasses the Older Americans Act, it would likely suspend services for millions of at-risk seniors who lack alternative means to obtain or prepare meals."
Diane Yentel, the president and CEO of the National Council of Nonprofits, took to social media to describe the order as a "potential 5-alarm fire for nonprofits." Yentel elaborated, stating, "From delaying research on childhood cancer treatments to closing shelters for the homeless, interrupting food assistance, diminishing protections against domestic violence, and shutting down suicide prevention hotlines, even a brief interruption in funding could have catastrophic consequences and result in loss of life. This order has the potential to devastate thousands of organizations and leave communities without essential services."
So this so called President is battling Wokeness. Now how is that going to work? Will he erase our brains, shock therapy the wokeness away? Turn us all into orange haired haters? He is messing with the wrong people. We will battle him in the hills, the valleys, the streets and we will prevail!!

Yes, we will prevail, we will unite and be stronger than ever. That's out of question, and a smart leader would know that. But, even we have to adapt and question ourselves, what can we do better, what can we do more to get the hate issues solved. That such hatred can divide a nation and a world, mean we are not doing it right. And from what I see and experienced during the years, we also need to start to listen to them, they do have concerns that we think are not worth considering. Hate always comes alongside with fear, so if we can address and solve their fear, we get the hate solved in future. So how can we do it? Even the LGBTIQ+ community is not united and split over different issues, so we should solve that. But using this hatred to make innocent suffer is a huge no-go! He will not win, all he is doing right now will lead to unity against him.

Unfortunately (and it is only my opinion), Trump runs the country like a company - that is all he knows. He may be a good businessman, but he doesn't have an ethical bone in his body.

Very well written, Sam!!! Yes, we will prevail. My mom and I depend on several programs: Meals on Wheels, IHSS. We get incontinence supplies safety equipment from a program called MSSP. Without this assistance we would be struggling financially. It takes thousands of dollars each month to support and care for a person in my mom’s condition. It makes my stomach turn when I hear Trump and his supporters speak at the hateful things he speaks about transgender people. I have several trans friends. I support and love all my friends equally whether trans, straight, LGBTQ, black, white, Asian, etc. Everybody deserves love and the opportunity to shine. I am proud to say that I am WOKE! Let’s fight! Let’s fight together!
