The Mind Of An Overthinker
Being an overthinker has its pros and cons. God it’s the worst thing but keeps the heart in tune with the mind.

In the quiet corridors of the mind,
Where shadows whisper truths untold,
An analyzer walks, piecing fragments of silence,
Crafting stories from the unsaid words.
Yet, with every thread of thought unraveled,
The overthinker finds a labyrinth of doubt,
A web spun too tight, where clarity fades,
And the heart's voice is drowned in echoes.
To see beyond the veil of spoken lines,
Is both a gift and a curse entwined,
For in the quest to understand all,
The simple joys of trust can fall.
The mind, a restless sea, churns with possibilities,
Every glance, every pause, a puzzle to be solved,
But in the endless search for hidden meanings,
The beauty of the present moment slips away.
Overthinking, a relentless tide,
Washes over the shores of certainty,
Leaving behind a landscape of what-ifs,
Where peace is but a fleeting visitor.
In the silence that follows the storm of thoughts,
There lies a longing for simplicity,
A yearning to embrace the unspoken,
Without the weight of analysis.
The analyzer, with eyes that see too deep,
Must learn to let the heart lead,
To find balance in the dance of knowing and feeling,
And to trust in the spaces between words

an amazing piece well done
This poem was absolutely remarkable! I really felt it!! ❤️
Tragic and sad, yet beautiful and full of wisdom ... the pain behind the overthinking here is palpable, I can feel the storm of thoughts. Being an over thinker when it comes to matters of the heart ... may be the greatest form of self-torture available. Breathe! 🩷
