Soon

perhaps a last poem for you

By Savannah K. WilsonPublished about a year ago 1 min read
the last poem I write for you ... until the 'us' I hope for comes

I hope you find what you need

To be the best you there is

The one I could see, but you could not

No, not quite yet

But with any hope you will ...

Soon

I wish you all the peace in the world

May this time allow you to heal

For the pain to stop, stress to end

So you grow ... Blossom into you ...

Soon

I want to be here when you're ready

When you can come back to 'us'

But that's not my call, you needed freedom

So as heart-tearing as it may have been

This is what was needed, for you to find you ...

Soon

Despite it ripping me apart each day since

For having to say ... well, not goodbye

But pause ... Stop?

And hope to pick up again later

How I wish that will indeed come ...

Soon

But if we don't ... if my fear is true

That there is never an 'us' to come

Still, without that life and future

I hope you see the real you again

And ... I hope above all to see you smile

Soon

    Very powerful.

So much strength in this, when you just try to hold yourself together to wish someone all the best

    Poignant 🙏

  • I too hope that it's a Pause instead of Stop. Sending you lots of love and hugs 🥺❤️
