Existing Within the +

While I understand that the Community has made great strides in equality and representation over the decades, I still have to argue that there are many members of the Community that don't get the same representation that everyone else does. I am speaking of those of us in the Community that are reduced to being Represented by the +.

I, myself, identify as Demiromantic Pansexual, which simply means that I don't feel physically attracted to someone unless I have an emotional connection and mental connection with them, regardless of gender. I am just one example of the many. Pansexuals, Asexuals, Demisexuals, and Arosexuals are just some of the others that exist under the +.

I understand that without the + the acronym for the Community is figuratively miles long, but doesn't it then stand to reason that there be different categories? I don't have names figured out for every sect yet, but the original acronym was LGB; let's bring that back for the original three. It can still be a Community where everyone interacts and love each other, but we don't have to be on top of each other, figuratively.

There can be different grouping within the Community, and it can still be a Community, without putting all the leftovers that people don't understand into a box, or a sign, to never think about. That's what they're doing... I know, from personal experience, that most people in the Community think that my sexual orientation, and the sexual orientation of those that think like me... is a joke... They think we're just making it up, or that we're just playing the field or we can't decide...

I thought I was Bi until I realized that I couldn't feel anything for someone unless they could match me on a mental and emotional level... and that evolves! As my faith grew I realized that the person I chose would have to match me on that level as well, or come to match me at that level, or it wouldn't work.
