Entwined and Alike

Black and LGBTQ, two worlds entwine

Together we rise, in strength and shine

Different paths we've traveled to find

Our true selves, our identity divine

Like two rivers, flowing side by side

We share a journey, a common tide

Fighting for acceptance, for our rights

Equality is what we strive

For though we may be different, we are alike

In our struggles, our triumphs, our fight

We are strong, we are proud

And we'll shout it loud

We'll break the chains of oppression

And claim our rightful session

In a world that is fair and just

For black and LGBTQ, we must trust

So let us stand together, hand in hand

And pave the way for a brighter land

Where love and acceptance are the norm

And our unique identities are embraced and adored.

Together we march, against discrimination

We will not be silenced, our voices will be heard

We will break down barriers and tear down walls

To create a world where everyone belongs

We'll stand up for our rights and speak out for change

We'll be the voice of the marginalized and the oppressed

We'll fight for love and acceptance without any qualms

For we believe that everyone deserves to be loved and respected

We'll be the ones who light the way, in the darkness

We'll be the ones who bring hope, in the despair

We'll be the ones who show love, in the hate

For we know that together we are strong and we can change the fate

We'll unite and be allies, for the cause

We'll stand together, and never take a pause

For we know that together we are a force

And together, we can bring about a greater source

So let us come together, and rise as one

Let us put aside our differences, and become as one

Let us fight for what's right, and not just what's fun

For the future of Black and LGBTQ persons, has just begun

We'll be the ones who pave the way, for the next generation

We'll be the ones who leave a legacy, of love and liberation

We'll be the ones who change the world, with our determination

For we are Black and LGBTQ, and we are a proud nation

We'll be the ones who lead by example, and show the way
