A letter to you

A letter for the girl who is scared to open up

By K FPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

She’s like an early morning sunrise, bright

and glowing.

Her radiant energy glowing with the hues of a

sunset that transition into the glittery night

sky above.

She wears her halo like the goddess she is.

Her hair that she lets downs falls perfectly

against her skin like silk.

Her eyes reflect her soul, happy and content.

Little does she know I can see glimpses of her

soul through the stained glass door that

shelters her fragile heart.

Delicately, I want to open that door.

Let that heart feel the sun’s warmth for the

first time in a long time.

Maybe then will I get to walk through the

wilderness of her soul and get to admire

the beauty that is her.

A beautiful love poem, a poem of desire, of calm but also wanting like the waves against a shoreline. Damn poet

  • Another beautiful poem that makes me long for that right person to come along! 🩷 And yet another brilliant last line! It leaves this powerful resonance of something I can't quite explain.
