A Glimpse in Colors

Seeing the World in Full Spectrum

By Vasco SilvaPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I saw them once, on a screen,

Not as a symbol, not a dream,

But real, breathing, standing tall,

A person whole, beyond it all.

Their love spoke soft, yet fierce in grace,

In every glance, in every space.

No longer whispers in the night,

But stories told in broad daylight.

A world in hues I hadn't seen,

Beyond the lines of blue and green.

Where hearts beat free, without constraint,

And fear could soften, even faint.

I never knew, I hadn’t known,

How far from true my mind had grown.

But in that moment, I could feel

A life, so vivid, so unreal.

No longer distant, no disguise,

I saw the world through different eyes.

Their joy and pain, their love and fight,

Became my truth, my own insight.

Now every heart I see, I find

A spectrum rich in every kind.

And in that glimpse, I understood,

A world of love, just as it should.
