White Runtz Strain Review

Like a Moth to a Flame

If you were at the dispensary last Tuesday you may have seen me floating by like a cartoon character being drawn to an apple pie. The apple pie in this simile is a mason jar full of the frostiest most delicious-looking buds I had ever seen. The budtender had just popped open the lid to let me smell and as soon as the sweet citrus fields, paired with what smelled like a 16-wheeler diesel after a long trip hit me, I knew I had to take it home.

The Stats

Genetics: Zkittles x Gelato

THC: 23%

Terpenes:

Caryophyllene: pain relief and anti-inflammatory

Limonene: mood-enhancing and stress relief

Humulene: appetite-suppressing properties.

Linalool: anti-anxiety

Myrcene: relaxing and sedative

Sight

White Runtz buds were medium-sized and dense. When I pressed the spade-shaped flower into my grinder I was surprised by how much I was able to roll up. Trichomes covered the outer area of the bud in thick white layers. So much so, the flower was almost white. It looked sugar-dusted. Needless to say, I was intrigued.

Smell

Neighbors knockin' on the door, asking can we turn it down

I say, "Ain't no music on" she said, "Nah, that weed is loud"

At first smell, you're met with sweet citrus and candy-like notes. As I broke it down, the gassy truck stop smell lifted into the air. Underneath the sweet smell, there were earthy woodsy notes that balanced the sweetness nicely.

Effects

It only took a few hits of White Runtz to feel the THC starting to saturate my brain and body. About halfway in I had to put it out. My muscles were relaxed and there was a euphoric buzz in my head and specifically behind my eyes. Despite being high in myrcene, I didn’t get the couch locking effects. In fact, I’d recommend this strain for social events, or enjoying a movie. The effects aren’t debilitating and the linalool subdues any anxiety that may arise.

I have a digestive disorder and the Caryophyllene, a terp known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, really helped tame my pain during an episode.

"Struggle is the enemy, but weed is the remedy."

Kid Cudi

Not only did White Runtz help with pain but for a few days I found myself feeling more irritable. I had more tension than usual in my body. I noticed after smoking how much this strain improved my mood. I felt the weight of life being lifted off my shoulders and it made me playful and happy.

"The biggest killer on the planet is stress, and I still think the best medicine is and always has been cannabis."

Willie Nelson

Lastly, White Runtz did not make me hungry. Usually after smoking I’m ravenous and end up eating all my snacks for the week in one sitting. This strain didn’t give me the munchies-which to me is a gift and a curse. I love eating while high, but my grocery bill was thankful. Depending on your goal, the potential appetite suppressing properties of this strain, might be helpful.

Rating

White Runtz will be added into my rotation. If I’m struggling with pain, anxiety or stress, it will be one of the first strains I reach for. I highly recommend you try this one if you like a sweeter weed with an earthy side to balance it. The effects were potent and euphoric. If I see you floating by next time I’m at the dispo, I’ll know why.

Happy smoking!
