Eden Pharma has joined forces with one of Uganda's most prominent landowners in an exciting new venture. The project involves allocating an initial space of 500 hectares of land to grow a wide variety of medical-grade marijuana strains. The government of Uganda has confirmed that it supports the site's construction and will issue a license to operate the site as a Marijuana grower. Once production begins in Uganda in early 2021, the site will also receive a parliamentary license to export marijuana to regions where it is legal.

Eden Pharma will be exclusively providing the research and development for the entire project and will be providing bespoke strains targeted to maximizing output in the unique biome and soil conditions. Eden will also be focusing on deploying innovative ultra-low carbon growing techniques, making this project one of the greenest and most environmentally friendly in the world.

Eden Pharma says it takes social responsibility seriously and is strongly committed to paying significantly higher wages for all its local staff and developing a village and school at the site which it believes will become a pioneering center of excellence in the field of medicinal marijuana growth and development. Already geared for expansion to a considerably larger site, the project is set for exponential development over the coming years.

Committed to Progress and Health

After launching a new online CBD store featuring a range of more than seven high-quality CBD products, Eden Pharma is fast becoming an established name in the medical marijuana arena. It was recently announced that the company was shortlisted for two awards at the World CBD Awards. Since legislation changed and medicinal marijuana companies were legally allowed to list on the stock exchange in the UK, Eden Pharma began talks with PWC and Deloitte to get itself listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Eden Pharma CEO Martin Booth said in an interview that he is humbled that the company has an opportunity to develop a leading global medical marijuana site. Booth further spoke about the change in legislation in the United Kingdom that allowed the company to explore exciting opportunities in today's economy. He added that Eden Pharma is proud to play a role in one of the most developed markets in the world. As more and more countries are legalizing the medicinal and recreational use of cannabis, the company focuses on developing a range of products, including oils and other derivatives like cosmetics, tablets, drinks, and food supplements.
