Charlie Kirk has been assassinated...
Your views can differ, but your morals should not

Charlie Kirk has been assassinated, and the world feels colder, emptier, and more unjust without him. A man who devoted his young life to defending truth, liberty, and the values that built Western civilisation has been cruelly silenced. At only 31 years of age, Charlie achieved more than most do in a lifetime. His death is not just a tragedy—it is an outrage. He was targeted because he spoke the truth, because he dared to stand against the tide, and because he inspired millions of us to do the same.
From his teenage years, Charlie saw what so many others refused to see: that young people were being abandoned to a culture that mocked faith, ridiculed patriotism, and stripped meaning from life. At 18, instead of turning away or keeping quiet, he founded Turning Point USA, an organisation that would grow into the beating heart of conservative youth activism in America. In the face of ridicule, censorship, and endless attacks, he pressed forward, building a national and international movement that gave a voice to the silenced and a platform to the ignored.
Turning Point was not just about politics—it was about courage. Charlie showed us that young people could rise, that universities could be challenged, and that students had the power to say “no” to the narrative being forced upon them. From the very beginning, he reminded us that the conservative fight is not about despair—it is about hope.
His work was not confined to America. He recognised that the struggle for freedom is global. That is why Turning Point UK was born: to bring the same fire, the same passion, to young Britons who felt betrayed by their leaders and suffocated by political correctness. Charlie believed deeply that Britain, the nation of Magna Carta, common law, and Churchill, should stand proud once more. He saw in Britain a partner in the fight for civilisation itself.
Charlie’s reach was extraordinary. Through The Charlie Kirk Show, he spoke daily to millions. He built communities, inspired action, and reminded us to be proud of who we are. His speeches electrified crowds; his writings encouraged those weary of the cultural battles; his faith was a beacon for all who still believe in God and tradition. He gave conservatives—especially the young—the permission to be unashamed, to be bold, and to be joyful in the fight for what is right.
And then came the day that stole him from us. September 10th, 2025. Utah Valley University. Thousands had gathered to hear him as part of his American Comeback Tour. He was doing what he always did: engaging, listening, challenging, debating. He was surrounded by his wife, Erika, their two little ones, and a sea of supporters when, out of nowhere, the unthinkable happened. A shot fired from a distance tore through the hope of a crowd and the heart of a nation. The bullet that struck him in the neck was not only aimed at Charlie—it was aimed at everything he stood for. It was aimed at freedom itself.
Let us be clear: this was a political assassination. He was murdered because his voice mattered, because his influence was real, and because he dared to rally the next generation. The establishment could not ignore him. His enemies could not silence him through smears or mockery. And so, tragically, violence was used.
But here is what they could not kill: Charlie’s legacy. His wife and children will carry his love. His friends and allies will carry his courage. And we—his supporters, his admirers, his fellow believers in what is good and right—will carry his mission. He lit a fire that cannot be extinguished by a bullet.
Charlie Kirk should still be with us. He should be laughing on a podcast, sparring with students, hugging his family after a rally. Instead, he lies in the soil of a country he loved more than life itself. And yet, as we grieve, we must also rage: rage against the hatred that killed him, rage against the cowardice of those who dismissed him, and rage against the complacency of those who thought his fight was someone else’s to fight.
But Charlie would not want us to end in rage. He would want us to stand. To speak. To act. To live boldly and joyfully for the truths he gave his life for. His death must not be the end of his movement—it must be the beginning of its next chapter.
Charlie Kirk was a husband, a father, a leader, a warrior, and above all, a believer. He was unashamed of Christ, unafraid of the world, and unwilling to bend to lies. He lived with purpose. He died with honour. And he will be remembered as a hero who gave everything for freedom.
Rest in peace, Charlie. We will carry your torch. We will finish your race. And we will never, ever let them forget what you stood for.
