According to Lago, Sizemore was at his LA home around 2 AM Saturday when he experienced the brain aneurysm and collapsed onto the floor, where he was found unconscious. 911 was called, and EMS responded and then transported him to a local hospital, where he was listed as in critical condition.

“He is currently in critical condition, and it’s a wait and see situation,” said Sizemore’s representative, Charles Lago. In a statement released by his Manager, he said, “He isn’t responding to treatment, and they going to do another MRI today and more tests.” As of 3 P.M. today, February 19th, there haven’t been any changes in Sizemore’s condition.

“His family is aware and waiting for updates..” Lago said. The cause of the aneurysm is unknown, or any further information at this time.

Sizemore, a 61-year-old from Detroit, got his first big break in tough-guy roles by appearing in a bit part in the movie “Born On The Fourth Of July” directed by Oliver Stone. He began getting more prominent roles in movies like “Guilty By Suspicion,” “True Romance,” and Striking Distance.” He then appeared in crime and war-type films during the 90s and 2000s, appearing in huge box office movies “Heat,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Pearl Harbor,” and “Black Hawk Down.”

Frequently depicting strong personality type characters that Sizemore gravitated towards, he is maybe most famous for playing Sgt Mike Horvath in The Second Great War film “Saving Private Ryan” starring Tom Hanks. His performance won him a nominee for Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in 1998.

As the dedicated sergeant close by star Tom Hanks, Sizemore’s character line speaks an iconic line around the finish of the film: “Someday we might look back on this and decide that saving Private Ryan was the one decent thing we were able to pull out of this godawful sh##ty mess.”

In 2000, Sizemore was nominated for best actor in a miniseries or movie at the Golden Globes for his part in the Richard Pearce- Witness Protection. All the more, as of late, he showed up in episodes of the television series “Twin Peaks” and a guest appearance in “Cobra Kai.”

Sizemore has won many nominations and awards during his acting career. He received a Saturn Award nomination in 1994 for Best Supporting Actor in “Heart and Souls,” and numerous “Award of Excellence” and “Vegas Movie Awards” throughout the industry for supporting Actor in films such as, “C.L.E.A.N (2020), Project Skyquake” (2022), and “The Electric Man” (2022).

Sizemore has long battled chronic drug use, had many legal problems during his acting career, and entered rehab numerous times starting in 1998 for heroin addiction. He was sober for many years after that. That all changed in 2001 when he fell back into the addiction and began using meth. It went downhill from there after starting a new relationship in 2001 with Hollywood Madame Heidi Fleiss.

Sizemore was sentenced in 2003 on domestic violence charges originating from a relationship with his previous fiance Heidi Fleiss where she stated he became violent with her. He was convicted and spent 17 months behind bars.

Sizemore told CNN’s Larry Lord in a 2010 meeting that he had been dependent on cocaine, heroin, and meth, before joining the unscripted TV drama “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” According to Sizemore, the show turned Sizemore’s life around with sobriety, and he became friends with Dr. Drew Pinsky. Pinsky had tried for ten years to assist Sizemore with becoming sober. He then joined the follow-up show “Sober House.” Dr. Drew said in a radio interview with Zach Sang in May 2013 that Sizemore was one of the show’s major success stories of sobriety.
