If you walk up to your local cannabis connoisseur and ask them about Hazes, you'll likely get a, "Hell yeah," "Good stuff," or solid, "Nice." A Haze cannabis strain is sativa-dominant, potent, and known for its cheery, creative high. Haze is an OG strain with a heritage that began in California in the 1960s and 70s when the Haze brothers began crossing strains from around the globe. Haze classically has a lemon or citrus nose with a spectrum of sweet, spicy, earthy, and skunky undertones.

In the 60 years since Haze was first grown, cannabis cultivars and pheno-hunters have been able to craft a wide array of delicious, THC-free to THC-glittering strains, all with Haze lineages. I've included a range of Haze strains here, featuring different THC levels, from 6% THC to 30% THC. This way, you can explore and research the best options for your personal, hazy journey as you go.

Haze is, personally, my go-to sativa-dominant strain for when the days start to get shorter and I need a spark of sunshine in my way-too-early-evening.

Here are 5 Strains to Check Out for a Perfectly Hazy Fall

Mango Haze by Color Cannabis is the first on my list of hazy fall faves. Mango Haze is a sativa-dominant hybrid flower with low THC, ranging from 6-10% and high CBD. This cross between Northern Lights #5, Skunk, and Haze come together to provide a mango aroma with spicy undertones.

Organic Super Lemon Haze, grown by 1964 Supply Co., comes from a cross of Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze. 1964's Super Lemon Haze is an organic cannabis, grown to include 5% CBD, and burns to a white ash. Expect a citrusy aroma and a bright, cheery, laid-back high with a mid to high-range THC percentage.

How could I forget? OG Haze, grown by Abide is a fresh-faced high, pre-rolled into five .4g joints, for your ease of enjoyment. OG Haze by Abide is a low to mid-range THC to keep you at a sweet buzz on your afternoon autumn stroll, or soaking up the last of those golden rays from your backyard.

Pure Sunfarms' Galactic Haze is a "pheno-hunted cross of legacy legends" Haze x Space Queen. With a profile of sliced citrus and just a hint of sweet skunk, this mid to high-range THC Haze will have you feeling out of this world. Just add star-gazing this fall!

What's spookier... to remember, or to forget? Boo! Amnesia Haze by Broken Coast won't make you choose. This lovingly grown, potent strain has a flavour profile of lemon and citrus, spice, earth, and zest. What better way to celebrate craft cannabis than by DIY-ing a ghost costume... then hotboxing it?

No matter which strain you choose to celebrate spooky season with, you're in for a treat when you start low and go slow. Make the most of your cannabis experience by pacing yourself. And if you're new to the herb? Try out low-THC or THC-free strains before diving into the heavy-hitters. If you're unsure, just go by your "flower shop" of choice, and ask your friendly local budtender for more information.

Until then, I'm excited to share some of my own experiences with cannabis here, including what's in my pipe.

What's in your pipe this fall?
