Zen Of Watercolor: The ABCs
abecedarian poem on watercolor

Acrylic painting is not the right style for this piece
because I want to watch the
colors flow into
different directions and observe them release.
Enjoyable and so
free-flowing.
Graceful, as I move my brush, showing
highlights with a rainbow of hues, rich in glow.
Illustrating with a careful hand
joyful strokes that create a
kaleidoscope of
luminous colors at my command.
Making mistakes is part of this art form.
Never give up, I say! The main goal is to be careful not to
oversaturate the
paper with water, or my lovely paints will transform into
quirky blends that will offend and
render a
sloppy mess!
To paint with zen is my way.
Ultimately my
vision and decisions make my
watercolor picture-perfect in every way. Although I have used
Xylene, to blend and smooth my colors for
yearning to achieve the highest
zenith for my landscape in watercolor is my genuine desire.

Beautiful thoughts!🥰
This painting and this poem are both beautiful. Gorgeous - this flowed so naturally. 💗
As an artist myself, I was very moved by this poem. Indeed, making mistakes is part of doing watercolour painting, but it's especially a part of doing any form of art. If we don't make mistakes, we don't grow as creators. Thank you very much for writing this poem. I admire your talents!
Nice job - I want to get me watercolors out now.
