PART 01: DAYBREAK IN SOLILOQUY

HOUR OF THE BLOSSOM

By Elena Koycheva on Unsplash

The alarm bells are chiming,

Sweaty fingers delve the source,

Blue blankets and dreamy pillows, the 6am call!

QUENCH WITH COLOR ZERO

By Charles Deluvio on Unsplash

Good morning, you, bottled water,

Buckle up; I’m lifting you for the ride,

a gush of iciness, down the seesaw.

THE LOQUACIOUS COUPLE

By Aarón Blanco Tejedor on Unsplash

Hey, watch out!, the squeeze is coming,

The feet in tandem, punching the ground,

I felt them moist out, its them sandals, crying!

WHEN RAYS HIT FRESH

By Simon Berger on Unsplash

“Where the sun at?”, my pensive mind,

A flow of relaxation post pandiculation,

Those scarlet rays buried my lazy face.

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED

By Goby on Unsplash

You served me for over a semester,

From fulgent charcoal finish to failed fade,

I wouldn’t mind if you stay; but you grew old!

CALL FOR AN INVIGORATING PURGE

By Hannah Xu on Unsplash

In goes the feet, then goes my body,

Those tiny pores regurgitating frigid drops,

My nerves are chilled, sending signals for warmth.

A CONTRACEPTION FROM THE COLD

By Mikhail Tyrsyna on Unsplash

The time has come, for the costume call,

Well, it’s not much to choose, when it flakes,

Wrapping up layers of black, over and over.

AMIDST THE EMPTY ROAD

By Ying Zhu on Unsplash

Sweet to the ears; the chirping of birds,

Dazzling to the vision; the radiant flowers,

A walk seeking tranquility, in search of what?

THE LADY AND HER BREW

By Oleg Guijinsky on Unsplash

Whoa, a dive into russet, earthy scent,

As soothing as the voice of the lady,

Sipping brim filled divinity, feeling petrichor.

MIND MEDDLING QUERIES

By Bekir Dönmez on Unsplash

Is it the voice of my mind that creeks?

Is it the thought of the following, which meddles?

Ah yes, I feel those queries stomping and pounding.

PART 02: WITH LOVE, FROM NOON TO NIGHT

I think it’s time to proffer the rest of the beautiful day an abstract play in shades.

THE DRAMA OF SEEKERS

Based on the theme: Wherever life plants you, bloom with grace

I know, I feel I know, I wonder why I feel I know,

We are trees, we bear flowers, and see all seasons,

Some rush to seek, whilst some seek in rush;

“Are we living an analogy”, asked my mind; c’est la vie.

A TRIBUTE TO COLORLESSNESS

Aether 1 - 0 Erebus

A gander within self, I feel Erebus in one corner,

Splattering rain and zephyr winds, best friends, ever since,

Aether, the beacon to slain the absent tenebrous major,

Hush you trees; thy scarlet partner to obliterate all gloom.

BEFORE I FADE...

The first 10 tercets of haiku basically illustrates the break of a day. Usually haikus aren't correlated as they present themselves as standalone pieces of poetry. I've tried to incorporate the idea of connection between all of them through morning routines.

The rest are for you to enjoy!

THE END

Thanks for reading and I wish all the travelers a Rock-and-Roll day! Till words blend us in.

About the Creator

ilan scribbler

When we strongly affirm to the fact that our mind is endlessly seeking a poignant creation, the inquisitiveness to find such paints a larger picture. It gains clarity when WE become the catalystic light to those roads. Cheers to the coming.
