I was inspired by this song and the man that I am going to marry. I hope you enjoy this poem. :)

I don't know if I knew what it was like to be loved by someone till we met.

I was loved, sure.

By people who loved me at their capacity.

People who meant well but cut me on the broken pieces of their soul.

But the way you love me- is unmatched.

It's undeniable.

Your soul was designed for mine.

I still remember that first night.

The way you looked at me,

Your hazel eyes were soft and searching.

Too shy to kiss me

When all I wanted was your lips on mine.

To be yours.

The night we fell in love.

It wasn't loud or something out of the movies.

It was just us,

Making a memory out of a moment.

I want all the nights with you.

The sleepy nights.

The stormy nights.

The silent nights where we say nothing at all.

I want to grow old with you.

Wake up every morning to the miracle that is you.

I knew from the moment we first met,

That I was utterly yours.
