Wear your heart

What should I to wear to your church…

Someone asked me this a bit ago, and here’s my answer.

Girl, you wear whatever you want. No need to be fancy because no-one will even really notice what you’re wearing.

A dress, shorts, tank tops, flip flops. An ugly sweater, jeans with holes, a faded blouse. Dress shoes, work shoes, fun shoes, old shoes. Makeup, no makeup, hair up, hair down.

A place where the lost are found, the proud made humble, the sad find Joy, a hospital for broken souls and hearts in need of surgery, where Healings begin.

Where clothes are overlooked to see the hearts and soul, and to welcome them in.

Girl, you wear whatever you want .

  • So true! Decades ago, when I was a girl, we did wear our Sunday Best… ‘our best for God.’ I loved: “ Where clothes are overlooked to see the hearts and soul, and to welcome them in.” 💖
