The electricity makes me giddy
Twinkling eyes share secret stories
Never before shared tales of love
Being written as if by God above
My heart lightens when I see you
We are bound together as a perfect pair.
Nothing can tear our feelings in two.
Cruel hand of power responds to our dare
Responding savagely, mercilessly, shifting life as sand
I am torn in half without your arms around me
I am left with only dreams of what we were to be
No more smile or twinkling eyes…
