Your Momma

poem

By Aqeedah Mujahid-GainesPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Shaped from the pale palms

Brown tree branches trace

Finger tips mold in praise

Your momma made

Gifted likeness in form

Bite of the apple of the tree

She is more than merely eve

Rich dark creation from the dawn

Depth of riches impossibly drawn

Wondrous deep mystery of universe

Collection of the lights breeding earth

Body of milky way, swerves of curves

Your momma made shaped in hers

Your momma palms gifted the form

HE would have you forget your momma

HE asserts to dismiss your momma

Gifted the gift from your momma

Constantly rejects creation of your momma

In your place as you witness the glory of the gift

Your momma blessed you love from her palms

Boldly formed not to forget.
