Your Light

Way and sunrise

I cared for more than shadows,

I found your love,

yet hope was hidden,

and I felt the darkness

getting so close,

each breath

forgotten in a forest

where dreams crawl,

where nothing can grow happy,

where we lost the way

mist

growing stronger

with each word

forgotten

and unknown.

***

Don't let the shade keep drawing love

find your light,

see the way,

our home

waits beyond ocean

undersea

and open hope.

***

I wished for brightness

and your joy,

I found myself in mirror

as I looked

into your eyes,

a sun-filled garden

to unfold.

***

Where can steps take me

if not you,

I dwell inside your sunshine,

I know you can remember us,

my love

in shade

or sea breeze

growing fond

of everything you are

of where I long

to be,

you hold my peace

as I have yours.

***
