Your home

once our home

Your home

Your house, my refuge, became my home,

Escape from a world where I felt alone.

Concern etched on your face, you tore me down,

Yet I responded without a frown.

Our friendship, a sanctuary, a cherished dome,

But then you left me all alone.

For better or for worse, I faced my curse

Found my way out, transversed the universe

Though our paths diverged without a sound

Our home lingers, lost but found

Miss you every day, my heart won’t shy,

From the friendship we once held, won’t let it die

In the depths of my heart, a lasting art

We’ll remain apart, yet not depart

sad poetry
