Thank you for showing me what it was like to loveā¦
I mean, like, really love.
Even if only for a brief moment, I remember feeling whole.
I know there were many more moments of malevolence involved in our time together.
Even still, I only tend to recall the scarce and thinly-spread moments of elation.
I recall being in disbelief that first night that it all went down.
Our friendship would never be the same.
Your first name will forever be my middle name.

This is so touching. I like your writing style, to the point in a gentle manner. Excellent work!
Gosh that was so heartbreaking and emotional. Loved your poem!
Aw, that's so beautiful. I had a love like that once ... for six months. We were only 16. His parents took their family and moved away. We never saw each other again but he'll always be in my heart. Thank you for reminding me that love will always live forever.
