You haven't seen me in many years,

That isn't to say that I don't remember

what you did to me.

I remember...

You broke my bones,

Left me without a home,

Treated me like trash;

A puppet on a string,

A delicate butterfly,

Whose wings you tore until they were no more.

You act like you still know me,

All because I am mum to your sons,

but,

Let me tell you something;

I came back stronger,

I am free to say how I feel,

My voice is no longer locked inside your

box of fear,

My body is no longer afraid of your bruises.

You may search for me,

And, you may find me,

But;

One thing is for sure,

I stand for me,

You won't pull me down again,

I came back stronger.
