You Where My Yesterday

The End Of Us

You Where My Yesterday

You were my yesterday, a fading light,

A memory wrapped in the folds of night.

Not my today, where the hours now bloom,

Nor my tomorrow, where dreams find room.

Your voice, a whisper, distant and gray,

Belongs to the shadows, not to my day.

The path we walked has turned to dust,

A story unraveled, a broken trust.

I carry the lessons, not the pain,

No need to revisit that old refrain.

For yesterday lives where it must stay—

Behind the dawn of a brighter day.
