You Were the Boulder that Crushed Me

Our love was a waterfall but you built a dam.

By Kailey LynnPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

It's like a boulder

A huge boulder in the back of my throat

When all this was just shrugged off my shoulder

I forget and forget until it suddenly rolls down my cheek

Not just slowly

But like Niagra Falls

Everything just happens so fast

I'm falling down the waterfall

While the boulder is right above me

I’m just falling through the air

Waiting in anticipation for the boulder to squash me

But because of the law of gravity, we fall at the same speed

We cannot fall forever

Once I reach the forest floor the boulder comes three seconds after

You were the boulder

Our love was the waterfall

You always found me

You always crushed me

Our love was the last beautiful thing we had together

The last amazing sight we saw with our eyes

Before everything was crushed

Our love was the waterfall, and it could not go on forver

It has to touch the ground and end sometime

heartbreak
