You Said!
Love in the Modern Age?

You once said that we were forever
But like everything else, you lied
Will I ever trust again
I just… can’t, anymore
Who will love me now?
I’m so alone
Why? Damn it!
…
Swipe right…
“Hi!”

Just one of many creative outlets for me has been books! My whole life I’ve loved them and it’s so easy to make the jump to writing.
Recently I completed a poetry challenge and now, looking for more excuses to write, I’ve found myself here!

Great job. So true in today’s instant gratification electronic-centric disposable society. Feels real… more’s the pity. 😉🤙🏻💕
Nicely done!
Very relevant! I like how the end can be taken either positive or negative. Someone genuinely attempting to find love again, or someone running from the pain with meaningless connection. Either way very powerful for todays world
Oh, such a powerful and decisive change at the end! Amazing work! 🤗❤️
Nice! Well-written for something off the cuff
Great take on the challenge but last line has two syllables 👍 which you can correct with quickedit, maybe say "Hi"
