you're so good to me

my relief and my ruin

By Stephanie HiltonPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

as much as i feel that i don't need you

i feel this gnawing, insatiable greed, too

that i must have what does not bode

only if to lighten the load -

distract me from my inner world

so that i may not become undone

and break down again and again

you make my bones hurt less,

and then

you break me in your own way

i end up in the same place

but i always give the same praise,

"you're so good to me".
