To the false thoughts this world has given me

To the lies the public has taught me

I don't believe you anymore

I've lied wake for your return

Hoping I could return

Return your torment

I knew you'd ask...

Can you stay?

I say

No

You're not

Welcome here

Not anymore

Your voice is evil

No longer can you speak

Your terrible lies to me

I don't believe you anymore

You were never true to begin with

I won't let you ruin me anymore

Thank You For Reading!!

This was inspired by Vocal's recent Breakup Nonet Challenge, this one starting with ten syllables going down to one, and back up to ten.

Here's one I wrote for that challenge :)

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
